PHONE-I-TURE & 3D TV

Phone-i-ture & 3D TV is a tethered, interactive sculpture consisting of a loveseat with 2 telephones embedded in the armrests which allows the 2 participants to talk to one another while sitting next to each other on the small couch. This installation speaks to our ideas about communication. As participants sit snuggly side by side, it is often that they find it more comfortable to chat via telephone than it is to talk face-to-face.  Additionally the loveseat faces 3D TV, a hollowed out wooden console TV cabinet that is filled with lighting, colored cups, and a lava lamp, with each key from the telephone pads lighting the contents within.
