What is it?

Micro Museum is a living art center conveniently located in Downtown Brooklyn at 123 Smith Street between Dean and Pacific Streets. The ongoing exhibition features the interdisciplinary work of artists Kathleen and William Laziza plus a themed program for USA independent visual artists, select video artists/performing artists in OPEN WALLS, "Instant Receptions" and other off beat programs working well in the community since 1986.

What will we see here?

Interactive Art (sound responsive or touch sensitive sculptures) and Media Presentations (video playback) and Visual Guest Artists (themed programming).

When is it open?

Weekdays by appointment $5 per person + 2 teachers are free Tourist Packages starts at $15 per person -- includes DVD of your visit. Otherwise, Micro Museum is open to the public on Saturdays from 12 - 7 PM for $2 per person. There are light refreshments served between 5 - 7 PM and impromptu artists talks.

Ask an Artist

The Founding Artist is on hand to talk to the student/visitors about pursuing a life as an artist. Did you know that in NYC alone the creative industries represent 4 billion dollar worth of commerce and countless dollars in added value revenue (hotels, taxis, restaurants, shops etc...)?

Who supports the museum?

Promote Art Works, Inc. is a501(c)3 organization. There is annual funding from The NYS Parks, Recreation and Historical Preservation through Assemblywoman Joan Millman's Office. We ask for personal donations or that you buy the art work hanging on the walls. Consider making an endowment contribution if you have then means.
